Frequently asked questions

Is KidType a medical or psychological diagnosis?
No. It is a free, informal snapshot based on temperament and Big Five research. For professional assessment, consult a child psychologist.
What age range is it for?
Ages 3–10. Younger children (3–6) use picture forced-choice; older children (7–10) use a scale. Results for 3–6 are more variable.
How is it different from MBTI?
KidType uses a child-adapted Big Five with continuous scores. MBTI is a preference typology for adults. The 16 animals are a memorable summary.
Is it free?
Yes. Completely free, with no hidden fees, subscriptions, or premium features.
How long does it take?
About 3–5 minutes.
Do I need to log in?
No. You can take the test without logging in. To save results or keep growth records, log in (magic link / Google).
Can I see the result again?
If you take the test while logged in, it is saved to your growth records. Anonymous tests are not saved.
Is my data safe?
Emails and nicknames are stored encrypted, and we do not sell personal data. We follow children's data-protection principles.
